Difficult
While more well-known publications are more difficult in general, you can still find some that are feasible for most dedicated writers. Teen-only publications can reach a very wide audience but only require you to compete with writers your age, so that your inexperience is no longer a disadvantage. They tend to receive a lot of poetry submissions, less short stories, and very few non-fiction articles. Obviously, submitting non-fiction articles and getting published will be easier than submitting poetry. The most difficult places to submit writing are well-known magazines with a national audience. Contests with large cash prizes also attract many talented writers. If your goal in writing or being published is to earn money, you're probably better off writing essays for scholarship competitions. The competition is less intense and the potential monetary value (if you're going to college) is greater.
